Obviously a fantasy piece, this tall mirrored work is slightly reminiscent of papyri. The mirror is cut to fit the shape of the frame and not vice versa, de-emphasizing its utility. This in turn makes the glimpses of yourself or other objects reflected in the mirror seem surprising, as if demanding an explanation for appearing in the stand of reeds.
The mirror is, however, full-length and tilted back at a slight angle, making it easy to see your entire outfit. A striking and useful addition to the bedroom that avoids the formal vanity of most free-standing mirrors.
